Climate Courage Workshops

Our workshops create safe, supportive spaces for youth to explore the emotional impact of the climate crisis while building resilience, community, and agency. Through creative expression, storytelling, and guided mental health practices, participants process eco-anxiety, connect with others, and develop tools to sustain their climate leadership. These workshops center care, courage, and collective healing as essential elements of climate action.

Workshop Components

  • Session 1

During the first session, we will establish psychological safety and group norms, discuss what climate mental health is, and share our personal experiences with climate change and climate work.

  • Session 2

During the second session, we will introduce self-care, discuss self-care challenges and strengths, and create self-care goals using the SMARTIE framework and others.

  • Session 3

During the third session, we will introduce community care, discuss community care challenges and strengths, and create community-care goals using the ASK framework and others.

  • Session 4

Session 4 is an open mic, where participants will have the chance to share poems, short stories, songs, and more as a fun way to heal in community with others. We will conclude by sharing ways to stay involved and receive continued support.

  • Online Community

All participants who successfully complete the program are invited to join a virtual community to continue receiving mental health support and resources. This is in partnership with Force of Nature.
